Careers and vocational education

The careers program aims to provide students with every possible opportunity to ensure a successful transition from school to further training and/or employment.

This is achieved by:

  • a Work Studies Program for all students in Years 9 and 10
  • a flexible Work Experience Program, enabling students to explore careers options
  • external workshops and guest speakers
  • a careers resource room for students to use in their free time
  • access to the My high school careers and JobJump website, which includes the online newsletters available to all students and their families. Register yourself using the school name for access.
  • special programs
  • career counselling
  • an opportunity to study a TAFE course or participate in the School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship program.

Our programs ensure that every effort is made to provide students with the opportunities to:

  • explore their interests, skills, personality and values
  • research career options
  • develop the tools to apply successfully for courses and jobs.
