Galileo high performance class
The Galileo class at Pendle Hill High School offers an enriched learning experience for academically talented students. This class delves deeper into subjects and in selected areas, introduces Year 8 content during Year 7 to challenge and extend students’ abilities. Most students from the Year 7 Galileo class continue in the program throughout their high school years.
Shortlisted students will be invited to sit an entrance examination during Term 2, with exact dates communicated to parents. While the Galileo class primarily caters to students residing in the Pendle Hill High enrolment area, exceptional students from outside the area may be considered if vacancies exist. Students new to Australia without NAPLAN results or local school reports are still encouraged to apply by submitting any recent overseas academic results. Additionally, students on temporary resident visas are eligible to apply.
Applicants currently seeking places at Selective High Schools may still apply; however, if accepted into a Selective High School, parents are asked to notify the school so the place can be offered to another student.
For further details about the Galileo high performance class, please contact us.
School contributions
In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
